About the Program

Buckhorn Wrestling is more than a team — it is a program built on the belief that the discipline, resilience, and mental toughness developed on the wrestling mat carry over into every area of life. From the very first practice, our wrestlers learn that hard work is non-negotiable and that character matters just as much as competition.

Our program emphasizes fundamentals, technique, and conditioning while fostering a team-first culture where every athlete pushes one another to improve. Whether a wrestler is stepping onto the mat for the first time or preparing for a state-level tournament, they receive coaching and mentorship tailored to their growth.

Buckhorn High School is located at 4123 Winchester Road in New Market, Alabama 35761. Nestled in the northern part of Madison County, Buckhorn serves a growing community of families who value academic achievement, athletic excellence, and school pride.

The school is home to the Bucks, and its athletics programs compete in the Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA). Buckhorn's wrestling program is part of a proud tradition of competitive sports at the school, joining football, basketball, baseball, and more.
